  • To help economically and socially disadvantaged
    children in getting education and thereby
    enabling them to establish in the society
  • To assist poor and needy women in getting
    training so that they can be financially
    contributing members of the family
  • To provide food, clothes and healthcare services
    to starving and less advantaged people

    with income generating capital and help them
    thereby in becoming self-supporting and
    self-reliant

    the victims of natural disasters

Highlights of Activities
  • In 2005, the ECHO team, in collaboration with
    other organizations in Bangladesh, accomplished
    the following projects
  • Provided scholarships for 100 needy and
    meritorious students
  • Distributed fitrah among 1000 poor and needy
    people of Bangladesh
  • Arranged 60 qurbanis for the benefit of the poor

  • ECHO sponsored a healthcare project in Dhaka
    specifically designed to help pregnant mothers
    and children
  • Funded a skill development training program
    (computer, trade, automobile, refrigerator
    /air-conditioner repair, sewing and embroidery)
  • Funded an elementary education project to provide
    better formal education to the socially excluded
    (weaver society) children
  • Sponsored computer training projects to foster
    computer literacy by making personal computers
    and basic computer training accessible to needy
    youngsters in Bangladesh.
