Fear
  • Fear is a discomfort that may range from a mild
feeling of being unsafe to an intense anxiety
    about losing your life.
  • Fears may be the result of unpleasant
    experiences, especially in childhood.
  • The subconscious mind may retain this fear trauma
    and behavioral problems may result.
  • Fears can be communicated through other people.
  • Fear makes the heart beat faster and cause the
body to react with increased energy.
  • The first step to overcoming fear is to discover
    the cause of the fear.
  • Exaggerated fears are fears of everyday objects
    or events called phobias.

3
Anger
  • One of the ways your respond to your environment
    is through anger
  • Most people become angry with people that they
    depend on and love.
  • However, repeated outbursts of anger are
destructive and can potentially lead to
    depression.
  • Anger can be used constructively when it is
directed against the forces that have caused the
    problem.
  • You too can use anger to correct a bad situation.
Be sure you know the real cause of the problem so
    you can attack it directly.

4
Depression
  • Depression can affect behavior, physical health
and appearance, and the way people handle
    decisions.
  • If you have prolonged depression, you need
    professional help.
  • When moods last for more than a couple of weeks
and include symptoms, medical help should be
    sought.
  • Symptoms are sleeping problems, loss of
appetite, decline in energy, feelings of
    worthlessness, and general feeling of
    hopelessness.
  • Being sad is ok, only for a moment but give
yourself permission to have sad feelings.
  • Time usually heals a common case of the blues.
  • Recognize that depressed moods can be balanced
    with positive moods.

Stereotype
6
Attitude
  • An attitude is a feeling or mental position about
    something.
  • Attitude may cause a person to choose one type of
    behavior in place of another.
  • Attitudes are formed by your experiences or by
other attitudes you may adopt as your own.

7
Prejudice
  • They are attitudes based on false or insufficient
    information
  • People who have strong prejudices are called
    bigots
  • Prejudices have many different causes. Fear,
guilt, frustration, or feelings of inferiority
are the basis or feelings of inferiority are the
    basis for some prejudices
  • Prejudices can be overcome or avoided altogether.
