Definition

• An Incident Management Team is an overhead
  management team consisting of the Command and
  General Staff positions of the ICS organization.

• Type 5 Local village or township
• Type 4 City, county or fire district
• Type 3 State or metropolitan area
• Type 2 National and state (less staff and
  experience, smaller scale incidents)
• Type 1 National and state (fully equipped and
  staffed)

• Any incident expanding beyond Operations
• Any incident lasting longer than one operational
  period
