Application
Stability of the radiation patterns within the
UWB band is crucial to achieve a good
performance from a UWB system. How do you know
your antenna is stable enough for the UWB system?
How do you select the antenna with the most
stable pattern? What happens to the stability
when antenna is integrated to a device? To answer
these questions it is necessary to have a figure
of merit- Pattern Stability Factor (PSF)- to
quantify the pattern stability of a UWB antenna.
  • Two antennas (a) L-slot antenna on a planar
    ground plane. (b) ground plane includes two 40mm
    sidewalls (z0 to 40mm).
