IOUs Encourage Public Participation in the Low
Income Programs
  • Public feedback is an important part of each
    IOUs Low Income Energy Efficiency and CARE
    Programs.
  • Customers, contractors and community groups are
    encouraged to share their opinions at each step
    of the program process, from qualification to
    installation and post-inspection.

IOUs Solicited Public Input to Develop 2007-2008
Applications
  • During the 2007-2008 Application process, the
    IOUs held public workshops to solicit and discuss
    low income program criteria, measures, delivery
    improvements, and other new ideas.
  • Meetings were held at locations throughout IOU
    service areas and publicly noticed to solicit
    public input. All meetings included conference
    call-in capabilities.
  • IOUs used ideas solicited to develop their LIEE
    and CARE Program Applications.

IOU Public Meetings on the Low Income Programs In
2007
  • In 2005, standardization meetings were opened to
    public participation. Meeting participants
    discussed LIEE measure installation standards and
    Policy and Procedure Manual updates.
  • These meetings were suspended by D.05-12-026.
  • D.06-12-038 ordered the IOUs to hold quarterly
    public meetings on the low income programs.
  • The first meetings were scheduled to be held
    March 13.
  • The CARE meeting was held in San Diego.
  • The LIEE meeting was rescheduled at the request
    of various public parties, and will be held March
    27 in San Diego.
