  • Fastest developing city of India after Mumbai
    Pune of Maharashtra.
  • Important Pilgrimage city of India.
  • Agriculture in main economy, exports
  • Cut flowers, onions, vegetables grapes to UK,
    Gulf European countries.
  • Major set up 5 star industrial areas includes
    multi nationals including Glaxo, MICO, LT, JJ,
    CEAT, Cokes etc.

  • Landless farmers
  • Less land farmers
  • Lower caste groups
  • Sarpanch
  • Main cause of migration
  • Drought
  • Dependency of agriculture on rain water
  • No alternative water sources for agri. other than
    monsoon

Situational Analysis
  • NEARLY 10 - 15,000 FAMILIES GET MIGRATE FROM UP.
    M.P., BIHAR, GUJRAT, WITHINMAHARASHTRA TOWARD
    NASIK CITY, IN SEARCH OF LIVELIHOOHD.
  • ITS SURVIVAL MIGRATION.
  • Women migrants are almost 50 of migrant
    population.
  • THEY WORK AS SEMI/UNSKILLED CONSTRUCTION/agricultu
    ral WORKERS
  • THEY CAN'T PROVIDE EDUCATION TO THEIR CHILDREN
  • THEY CAN'T PAY NECESSARY ATTENTION TO THEIR
    CHILDREN
  • THEIR CHILDREN ALSO GET JOIN THE PARENTS IN THE
    SAME WORK
  • THEY STAYS ON ROADS/OPEN SPACES THEY DON'T GET
    THE BASIC AMINITIES LIKE WATER, SANITATION,
    HEALTH, SHELTER ETC.
  • THEY FACE THE ECONOMICAL EXPLOITATION Both
    men/women
  • Women dont have equal wages even the
    legislation is there, no control on income,
    husband takes her wages on her behalf.
  • THEIR WOMEN GET EXPLOITATED AT WORKPLACE
  • MIGRATION CAN'T GIVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITIES OF
    SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN IMPROVING THEIR
    QUALITY OF LIFE
