  • 4 home grounds with 2 clubrooms and two training
    grounds

    participate regardless of ability.

  • A number of players with kidney and heart
    problems including one with a severe heart
    disorder
  • A young player with multiple physical
    disabilities
  • Players suffering Aspergers Syndrome
  • Players with ADHD and ADD

  • Wheelchair teams
  • In our second year we pursued the idea that a
    community based club should offer young people in
    wheelchairs the opportunity to engage in
    competitive soccer.
  • We now have two teams.

  • During our third season in 2005 we were involved
    in Come and Try days organised by the Cerebral
    Palsy Australian Sport and Recreation Foundation.

  • 2007 was a challenging year
  • Drought
  • Venue for the wheelchair competition
  • But the club did win a competition enabling 12 of
    our young players (one of whom is a wheelchair
    player) to act as the ball squad for a Melbourne
    Victory A League game at the Telstra Dome.

  • Challenges for 2008
  • Considering organising our own competition for
    disabled players. This will require a venue,
    insurance, referees, equipment and money.
  • Recruiting more players.
