  • Sparta is located on the southern Pelloponesus,
and was founded during the Dorian invasions. The

age of seven to live in barracks with other
Spartan boys. They lived in the barracks till
they were 20. They were under constant
surveillance. Even if there master was away a
random citizen would take over and rule them in
any way he wanted to. He would also punish them
as he saw fit. This way the boys would learn to
    respect any rulers.

WAR TECH.
  • The Spartans had no war ships because they
were not close to the any water. Instead they
would use hoplites and brute strength, mixed with
good planning, to win battles. The Spartans had
extreme loyalty to their leader to the point that
they would gladly die for said leader. This was
a huge advantage to the Spartans.

involved religion. For example they never ate
meat unless it had been sacrificed to a god, or
had been hunted in the wild. They also thought

They tended to think of the god Dionysus whenever
they drank wine. They thought of Demeter when
they ate bread and grain. They ate vegetables a
    lot and olive oil.
