  • What is a the writing stage?
  • The writing stage is when you turn your
    ideas into sentences. It is the stage in which
    you develop para-graphs. A paragraph is written
    about one topic only. Most paragraphs contain a
    topic sentence.

2. Open Your Writers Notes or Notebook.Begin
Writing to Support Your Topic.
  • After you have chosen your topic, write a topic
    sentence that focuses on that main idea. Just as
    a triangle tapers off to a point, a paragraph
    starts with the main idea, tapering off with
    supporting sentences, and finally ending with a
    closing sentence.

  • Focus on the main idea of your paragraph.
  • Write clear and simple sentences to express your
    meaning.
  • Make sure your supporting sentences focus on the
    main idea.

    words to help you express your ideas creatively.
  • Make sure each sentence makes sense.
  • Make sure your sentences are interesting.
