3History of HST/EIP databases in EMRO
- 1993-94 the first relational database was
developed using Pascal C programming language and
Quatro Pro software for reporting. - 1996-1997 a second database was developed to
follow WHO standards in programming software, i.e
Foxpro and Visual Basic. - 1998-1999 the current database was developed
using Power builder as front end and SQL as back
end.

- Data available on SQL server is available for
sharing - with any other application or front end for
querying the data ,thus - ensuring maximum flexibility in the use of
available data.

format to - minimize manual data entry
