3Purpose
Height (mm)
- Pre-presbyopes who frequently perform intense

single-vision spectacle lenses with a 0.6 D add
for reducing visual fatigue and enhancing quality
of vision and patient satisfaction in
pre-presbyopes.

4Methodology
- Study participants were recruited via print
advertisements and during office visits at two
sites the University of Alicante (Alicante,
Spain) and the Institut et Centre dOptométrie
(Bures-sur-Yvette, France). - The Anti-Fatigue lenses were evaluated using
questionnaires completed at dispensing and after
2 and 4 weeks of wear.
5Patient Population
- 103 pre-presbyopes ages 3543
- 68 had previously worn single vision lenses
- 35 were new to lens wear
For previous lens wearers, the Anti-Fatigue
lenses provided the same distance correction (
0.5 D) as patients previous lenses.
6Overall Satisfaction
- Study participants reported a high level of
satisfaction with their Anti-Fatigue lenses.

Also, 88 of wearers considered the adaptation
period Somewhat short to Very short, and 86
found adaptation Somewhat easy to Very easy.
7Satisfaction with Vision
- The vast majority of study participants were
satisfied with their visual comfort and quality
of vision (dynamic, distance, intermediate, and
near).
8Quality of Vision for Specific Tasks
- Study participants were also highly satisfied
with their quality of vision for specific tasks.

11Future Lens Wear
- 92 of wearers said they planned to continue
wearing their Anti-Fatigue lenses, either for all
activities or for specific tasks. - A majority of patients said they would wear their
Anti-Fatigue lenses for specific tasks, including
high-precision near work, computer use, and
reading/writing.
12Conclusion
- Lenses with a 0.6 D add can reduce visual
fatigue among pre-presbyopes, enhancing visual
comfort as well as dynamic, distance,
intermediate, and near vision. - Among study participants, including both previous
single vision lens wearers and new spectacle
wearers, 87 of wearers preferred Anti-Fatigue
lenses to their previous situation.
