Gestures
  • Work in Windows Journal as well as in the Input
    Panel
  • They do NOT work in the Office 2003 suite of
    products

22
What is a Gesture
  • A gesture is a motion that you make with your
tablet pen or a symbol that you draw with your
tablet pen to control your tablet computer.
  • In TabletPC input panel, you can use gestures to
erase handwriting and to control the insertion
    point in the active program.

23
More on Gestures
  • For example, you can use gestures for tab, space,
    backspace, and enter.
  • If you use a gesture, then you get the same
result that you would get if you pressed the
corresponding key on a standard keyboard.

24
Use the Scratch Out Gesture
  • Without removing the tip of your pen from the
screen, draw a horizontal line back and forth at
least three times through the handwriting that
    you want to erase.
  • Note   When you erase handwriting, the
corresponding recognized text is also deleted.

25
Possible Gestures
  • How to draw gestures
  • The dots in the gesture symbol images indicate
where you should start when drawing the symbol.

26
Gestures Are Available
  • You can use gestures in the writing pad and in
    the character pad.
  • They also work within the Windows Journal

    doing inking
