  • The annual production of household and industrial
    wastes in

    landfilling

Methods
  • The research is based on a literature search and
    on site measurements in a landfill
  • Landfill gas measurements are done by a company
    Finnish Bioenergy Ltd
  • Measurements are done at a landfill in Dunay
    during this summer
  • 1-2 lateral gas collecting pipes will be
    installed per hectare in order to get gas samples
  • Total amount of measurement points will be about
    10 - 12

Present state of the project
  • Some results of the literature search can be seen
    at this point of study, for example
  • present status of the waste management system and
    generated waste amounts
  • Results of the landfill gas on site measurements
    and gas analysis are not ready yet
  • Very rough estimates for the methane production
    can be given on the grounds of disposed waste
    amounts
  • 40 million m3 of waste placed at Novoselky
    landfill
  • 1 ton waste produces annually 5 10 m3 landfill
    gas
