• The Need
• Leaders in Chinas cities and towns seek training
  which prepares them to develop policies and
  programs and to employ services and technologies
  which help them meet economic goals while
  protecting cultural, social and environmental
  assets and human health.
• Mayors are recognized by governments and
  companies world wide as decision-makers regarding
  city management, spending and environmental
  initiatives.
• Environmental Protection Bureau managers hold
  the key to environmental approvals and advise
  local governments on all environment matters.

  Harmony are working together to develop skilled
  leaders, trained practitioners and informed
  public participation to achieve development which
  is socially and environmentally sustainable.

• published and distributed nationally Community
  Action Workshop Manual and Green Cities a Guide
  to Sustainable Community Development
• 110 mayors trained
• 40 Environmental Protection Bureau Managers
  trained
• over 360 community residents trained from nine
  communities
• community workshops resulted in garbage clean
  up and litter prevention education campaigns, and
  other initiatives
