Title: If this were a proposal, can you cite examples of other strategies where this approach has worked?

1
  • If this were a proposal, can you cite examples of
other strategies where this approach has worked?
  • How does this compare/differ with partial
resistance/incomplete resistance work as cited by
    Pacheco in his PhD thesis?
  • Can you and the team develop and propose a
    tentative timeline?
  • Can you flowchart this approach with "go-no go"
    decision trees?
  • Are we only looking for a "genetic" resistance,
or should we/could we consider incorporating an
    agronomic support approach that includes
    strategic planting programs, limited fungicide
use, any fertility approaches, etc.? I see this
approach used more in the EU under more intensive
management programs. We have seen it also in
Brazil with their routine spraying of fungicides.
  • Are there "parallel" research projects that must
also be completed for this approach to work?
    DART?
  • Can you put any "statistical odds" on the
likelihood of success of this approach?
  • What will be the most limiting issue(s) with this
strategy, and can we control any of them?
