  technical protocols related to Internet domain
  names and addresses.
• Since the Internet is becoming a driving cultural
  force for humanity, humanity has a natural right
  to have a fair say in the networks altering their
  lives.

• The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and
  Numbers (ICANN) is the non-profit, private-sector
  corporation that coordinates a selected set of
  the Internets technical management functions
  previously performed by the US Government or its
  contractors and volunteers.
