How to Get Here

Where to Meet

• Please park in the lot and walk up the hill to
  the barn. There is limited parking at the barn.
• You will need to sign liability and publicity
  release forms. If you are under the age of 18,
  please bring forms signed by your parents with
  you.
• There will be a short meeting before starting
  projects.
• Water and possibly snacks will be available for
  volunteers (as well as first aid should the need
  arise.)

Top Priority Trail Graveling

• Several sections of trail that goes along the
  south and west sides of the park are in need of
  gravel.
• Gravel and powered spreaders will be provided by
  Corvallis Parks and Recreation in multiple
  locations.
• It is estimated that 10-15 people will be needed
  to complete this project before dusk.
• Bring gloves, shovels, rakes and wheel barrows.

Second Priority Invasive Species Removal

• Many of the trees to the south of the baseball
  fields have ivy growing in them.
• Portions of the black berries will need to be
  removed for access.
• It is estimated that 6 people will be needed to
  complete this project before dusk.
• Bring gloves, clippers, and lopping shears.

Other Opportunities to Contibute

• There is a large oak tree near the barn that
  needs its leaves picked up.
• The horseshoe pits need to be filled and leveled.
  If you are interested in this project, please
  let Jules know as soon as possible so sand can be
  provided. The backboards near the barn need some
  weeding too.
• Bring gloves, rakes, and clippers.

Other Opportunities to Contribute

• The landscape beds near the barn need leaf
  removal and weeding.
• The baseball field fences also need weeding.
• There is sure to be some debris from the storms
  and/or litter that needs to be picked-up.
• If youd prefer to work under cover, the barn
  tables need washing.
• Bring gloves, rakes, clippers, buckets, and rags.

Other Opportunities to Contribute

• Some of the parking barriers need concrete
  replacement.
• The culvert near the kiosk needs trail
  reinforcement/repair.
• A second culvert or French drain needs to be
  installed on the trail from the kiosk to the
  baseball fields.
• There is a French drain on the west side of the
  park that needs maintenance.
• Many opportunities for turf (gopher) hole repair
  exist.
