• The best news youll ever hear is found in the
  Bible
• in these words of Jesus, For God so loved the
  world
• that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever
• believes in Him should not perish but have
  everlasting
• life (John 316). Lets consider His words one
  phrase
• at a time.
• Jesus says, For God so loved the world God
• loves everyone in the world, including you.
  Because He
• loves you, He cares about your eternal
  well-being. But
• all of us have a problem. The Bible says, All
  have
• sinned and come short of the glory of God
  (Romans
• 323). The person in the diagram represents
  everyone
• in the world, and everyone in the world is
  separated
• from God by sin.

• God gave His only begotten Son as the
  solution
• to our sin problem. Jesus is Gods only
  begotten Son.
• God loved us so much that He gave Jesus as the
• Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world
  (John
• 129). On the cross, He died for everything you
  have
• ever done wrong or ever will do wrong from the
  day
• of your birth to the day of your death. Jesus
  payment
• for your sin is pictured in the diagram.

• Next, Jesus tells us what we must do. He says,
• whoever believes in Him He does not tell us
  to do
• good works, be religious, or do anything else
  except
• believe in Him for what God offers, which is
• everlasting life. The one who believes in
  Him is
• pictured in the diagram.

• Jesus promises that if you believe in Him you
• will not perish. In other words, you will not
  be
• condemned and go to hell. As Jesus says, For
• God did not send His Son into the world to
• condemn the world, but that the world through
• Him might be saved (John 317).

• The believer will not perish because he has
• everlasting life. Everlasting life does not
  begin when
• you die. Everlasting life begins the moment you
  believe
• in Jesus for it. Jesus says, he who believes in
  Me has
• right now everlasting life (John 647). Since
  it is
• everlasting life, it cannot last only 10, 20,
  or 30 years
• and then be lost. It must last forever.

• Once you receive everlasting life, Jesus wants
  you to
• serve and follow Him. He says, If anyone serves
  Me,
• let him follow Me (John 1226). Hopefully, you
  will
• choose to serve and follow Him. But this is a
  separate
• choice that in no way affects the fact that you
  still have
• everlasting life, as pictured.
• Do you believe the words of Jesus found in John
• 316? If so, then you will not perish. You have
  
• everlasting life! Thats the best news youll
  ever hear.
