Key Concepts

• Announcements are short text (or HTML) statements
  with a date when they will be made available to
  students
• Announcements have a title, a body, and a date.
• Up to five of the latest visible announcements
  are shown on the homepage, listed from the most
  recent back.
• The Announcements page provides a record of all
  announcements, listed in chronological order.

Basic Announcements

• That's it! Just enter the title, the text, and
  the date when you want the announcement to be
  shown to the students. Stellar will do the rest.
• If you know HTML and would like to put links to
  documents in the announcements or put graphics in
  the announcements, read on.

To put a link in an announcement

• Find the document or other source that you want
  to link to.
• Copy the URL (Stellar documents can use a
  relative URL, as in the example)
• Add an announcement. In the body of the
  announcement, put something likelta
  href"yourURL"gttext to clicklt/agt
• Click on the link in the announcement to check
  that it goes where you expected.
• This can also be used to provide a link to a new
  discussion forum or topic, of course.
