Why this needs to be built

• There are not many public web services!
• Solving heterogeneity is widely needed
• Computer interpretable not just human like
  Google does
• As a basis relevant industry standards are used
• RosettaNet and BPEL
• Solution for smart buyer behaviour and public
  translation service

What kind of services need to be built?

• Currency transformation service (dynamic)
• Measurement units transformation service (pounds,
  kilograms, ounces piece, 10-pack, dozen)
• Transformation services for full standard
  documents in RosettaNet (Quote, Purchase Order,
  ..)
• Product ID mapping (EAN, GTIN, Comp A, Comp B)
• Understanding semantics (Otaniemi is in Espoo)
• Better validation of the data (consistency
  reasoning new knowledge )

• Experience in Web Services
• Knowledge of Semantic Web
• Interest in e-business solutions development
• E.g. SAP Idoc integration can be extended for use
  case if group wants such experience
