This procedure will display images of the process
of requesting access to WESS using the PKI login
feature. In order to use this feature, you will
need an active user name and current password for
the WESS system. (See Figure 1 Figure 13)
You must be able to log in using your username
and password. (See Figure1)

At the US Department of Defense Warning
Statement, Select radio option yes and then
select submit. (See Figure 2)

If you have just received a temporary password
from the system, or this will be your first time
logging into WESS, you will be required to change
your password. The system will prompt you to
enter an old password. The old password will be
your temporary password so please re-enter the
temporary password again. You can enter the
password of your choice following the criteria of
the required password format. (See
Figure 3)

You will receive a window to display your account
information where you can update the data. (See
Figure 4)

Account information will display again for
verification. Select proceed to go through the
prompts, until you get to the log in screen
again. (See Figure 5 6)

Now you are ready to register to use the PKI
feature

From the login page, please select the PKI Login
Button. (See Figure 7)

In Figure 7, you will select PKI Login to
initiate the request for a PKI login. You will
be prompted to select the appropriate
certificate. (See Figure 8)

Usually you will select the Certificate other
than the email

At this point, you will enter your username and
your password and select register. (See Figure 9)

The registration process is successful if you
have received the Self-Registration Complete
screen. (See Figure 10)

You will be prompted to log in again after you
have registered. Click the PKI Login button to
get into the system using the PKI login feature.

When you receive the screen that states Please
click here if you are not automatically
forwarded, please do not click this option.
The application will forward automatically. (See
Figure 12)

Select yes and submit at this point you are
successfully logged into WESS. (See Figure 13)
