1I have never compromised my professional ethics
and integrityunder pressure by students or
administrators, and especially not for
self-serving interest.

2An instructor is in charge of conducting a
course activities, and in full charge of
his/her classroom(including sitting
arrangement), according to NIU regulation.
3An instructor is evaluated and judged by his/her
peers/faculty, and your degree is granted by
faculty, not even the President or any other
administrator.
4Instructors have also full responsibility to
conduct the teaching in professional, ethic and
fair manner, and administrators, including Chair,
as per NIU rules, are not to forcibly influence
an instructor on how he/she teaches or grades.
5If there is any violation of rules or misdoing,
every student is individually entitled to
official complaint.
6I strongly believe that it is more efficient for
students to communicate their concerns with
his/her instructor first, before complaining to
the Chair or others (that is also written NIU
rule).
7I am willing to consider all your concerns and,
if reasonable and do not compromise our
curriculum requirements, to accept them.
8Finally, I like to state and reassure my
students, that unjustified comments will not have
any bearing on our future activities, that I will
consider all your reasonable concerns, and that I
will continue to be professional and fair,
equally for all, as I have always been.
9Furthermore, I like to invite all of you to
express all your concerns with me first.
However, if you do not resolve your concern with
me and you think that I violated any NIU rule you
have a right to officially complain to
appropriate bodies.
10I hope this will clarify and answer some of your
concerns.
