What is Community Outreach Program?
  • Community Outreach Program is an inter-discipline
    activity set to connect the academic theories
    with the actual social life development
    problems as a service-learning experience. This
    program is conducted as a supporting medium to
    foster community development.

Objectives
  • Help students understand that higher education is
    not an inseparable institution from the
    community, whose mission is applying science,
    technology and arts in real life.
  • Provide a learning experience to the students by
    placing them in the community - where COP is
    located, to help solving the problems of local
    development.
  • Increase students intellectual capacity in doing
    research, analysis and scientific problems
    solving in building dynamic society.
  • Provide a learning experience for students to be
    a capable communicator in various social level
    and culture.
  • Provide learning working experience to the
    candidates of national development agents

Goals
  • Students can give contributions through
    activities and academic/scientific Students are
    able to analyze problems exist within a community
    then plan, develop carry out programs to solve
    the problems.
  • Students can practice leadership
  • Students learn to think, work, interact and
    organize programs in an inter-disciplinary manner
    and inter-culturally.
  • Students will gain new knowledge, skill and
    awareness about their society and development
    issues.
