KOKAND CITY
Kokand is a city in Farghona province in eastern
Uzbekistan, at the southwestern edge of the
Farghona Valley. Kokand is in 228 km southeast of
Tashkent, 115 km west of Andijan, and 88 km west
of Farghona.

KOKAND CITY
The present city began as a fort in 1732 on the
site of another older fortress called
Eski-Kurgan. In 1740, it became the capital of an
Uzbek kingdom, the Khanate of Kokand, which
reached as far as Qyzylorda to the west and
Bishkek to the northeast.

KOKAND CITY
Kokand is a center for the manufacture of
fertilizers, chemicals, machinery, and cotton and
food products. Over the last two decades, new
districts and public buildings have appeared in
the city with intense growth of individual
houses, shops, cafes, restaurants and other
private sector ventures.

50-60 of buildings and facilities construction
have been finished. The concrete walls and
ceiling have been installed. Exterior and
interior finishing works are not carried out and
windows and doors are not installed.

SALE OF COMPANIES STOCKS
Sale of 100 of stocks of Kukon tukimachilik
kombinati (Kokand Textile Factory) state company
is provided for the public auctions by the
decision of State Tender Commission according to
the Resolution of the President of the Republic
of Uzbekistan dated July 20, 2007 PP-672.
At present a factory is under disposal of the
State Property Committee. Its revaluation is
being carried out now.

On the basis of the main building the following
projects can be created
spinning production of 15-20 ths tons of cotton
yarn by processing of 17-23 ths tons of cotton
fiber

fabrics
weaving or knitting production of 10-15 mln
running m of fabrics or 10-15 ths tons of knitted
fabrics.

On the basis of energy building a clothing
manufacture of 15-20 mln. pcs of shirts or
T-shirts can be created.

On the basis of canteens building for 1000
persons a knitting production of 4-6 ths tons of
knitted fabrics can be created.
