Col 312-1712 Put on therefore, as the elect of
God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies,
kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness,
longsuffering13 Forbearing one another, and
forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel
against any even as Christ forgave you, so also
do ye.14 And above all these things put on
charity, which is the bond of perfectness.15 And
let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the
which also ye are called in one body and be ye
thankful.16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you
richly in all wisdom teaching and admonishing
one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual
songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the
Lord.17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do
all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks
to God and the Father by him.

  uniform is compassion, kindness, humility,
  gentleness, patience, bearing with one another,
  forgiving each other and love. 
• Last week we talked about how we had to die to
  live. This week we are going to see how we need
  to live until we die.

• I. Gods Chosen People
• A. Too often we think that we have chosen God.
• I gave my life to him.
• I accepted Jesus plan of salvation.
• I put him on in baptism.
• B. We totally miss the point that Christ chose
  us.
• Just as he chose the Jews to be his race before
  the Cross, he chose all those who would follow
  him after the cross.
• We are Gods adopted children. He chose us.

• II. Dressing Up - vs 12 - 14
• A. Christians must dress right.
• Most of us like to dress up from time to time.
• Usually when we start talking about how
  Christians should dress, people begin to bristle
• The simple fact is Christians have a dress code
• Matt 2211-14
• 11 And when the king came in to see the guests,
  he saw there a man which had not on a wedding
  garment
• 12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou
  in hither not having a wedding garment? And he
  was speechless.
• 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him
  hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him
  into outer darkness there shall be weeping and
  gnashing of teeth.
• 14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

• B. Love covers all
• 1. After listing all these layers of Christian
  dress, Paul says we need to cover all of them
  with love. 2. That means, love is more important
  than all of them.
• 3. Paul stresses forgiving others and God
  forgave us and then finishes the thought talking
  about love.

  report if there be any virtue, and if there be
