Changes in Mother
  • Physical changes involve weight gain somewhere
    around 1lb/week.
  • Pressure on your rib cage
  • Backaches
  • Leg Cramps
  • Swelling of Ankles and Feet
  • Lower abdominal achiness
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Constipation
  • By the end of the month your uterus will extend
    well up passed your navel.
  • More stretch marks
  • Difficulty to sleep continue
  • Key month to the Trimester.

Growth Development of Child
  • Baby begins to change to a head-facing-down
    position.
  • Can open and close its eyes.
  • The fetus can begin to sense light and dark in
    the uterus.
  • Weighs almost 2lbs. and is approx. 14.4 inches
    long.
  • May suck fingers.
  • Baby may also hiccup.
  • Brain tissue is more developed allowing for
    higher brain activity.
  • It can also hear every movement in your body,
    such as heart beat, digestive system,
    respiratory system. To the child it is like what
    you hear under the water in a pool.

  • In the Seventh Month there are several tests you
    should have done to ensure the good health of
    your child. Some of these are
  • Blood Glucose
  • Blood Pressure
  • Weight
  • Urine
  • Height of the Fundus (top portion of the uterus)
  • Fetal Heart Tones
  • Babys Position and Size

  • Some problems that may arise include
  • Ankle/Foot Swelling
  • Breast Tenderness
  • Brest Leakage
  • Bleeding Gums
  • Constipation
  • Contractions
  • Dizziness
  • Enlarging Belly/Breast
  • Flatulence
  • Frequent Urination
  • Heartburn
  • Hemorrhoids
  • Increased Perspiration
  • Increased Vaginal Discharge
  • Leg Cramps

  • Light headed and dizzy
  • Lower backache
  • Sleeplessness
  • Varicose veins
  • Vision changes

Survival Rate
  • A baby born at this time has at least a 60
    chance of survival.
  • This is with appropriate medical care.
  • As the months go on, this chance increases.
