  • Learn about institutions variety, how to
    discover which ones suit your needs
  • How to become an informed customer recognise
    sales pitch, know what to look for, know what
    questions to ask!
  • Create action plan knowing what course(s) to take
    that help you reach your post 18 goal.

  • 8 increase in take-up into sixth form FE and
    are still there!

Reactions
  • I like Learning for Life. It gives me some time
    to step back from the hard work and see where Im
    going to go and why Im doing all the hard work
    now. It also makes sure Im on track to achieve
    my goals. Year 11 student
  • The students were great, extremely well behaved.
    40/41 students indicated they are more likely to
    go to university as a result of the AwayDay. The
    students were certainly more mature than some
    other Year 10 groups we have had so whatever you
    have added to the water at Colmers, its
    working! Aim Higher Coordinator at university
  • (The intention of the course is) to create
    awareness. To enable young people to learn about
    themselves in order to develop and become
    citizens not just be clever with good grades but
    who can think for themselves. Year 11 student
