Are There Multiple Resurrections?
  • A.G. teach multiple resurrections
  • one of the righteous in the rapture
  • one of the wicked after the 1000 year reign

4
Rapture?
  • Rapture Resurrection
  • Believers who have died before the Rapture will
be resurrected with incorruptible bodies at the
    Rapture. (ibid., www.ag.org)

5
Second Coming
  • Post-millennium Resurrection
  • The Great White Throne Judgment. After the
judgment fire physically destroys those deceived
by Satan at the end of the Millennium, all the
wicked who have ever lived on the face of the
earth will be dead. Then will follow the
resurrection of the wicked dead to stand before
the austere Judge from whose face the earth and
the heaven fled away (Revelation 2011). Books
are opened and the wicked are judged according to
their works. Then, like Satan, they will be
consigned to the lake of fire to be tormented day
    and night forever. (ibid., www.ag.org)

6
the hour when all are raised
1
DAY HOUR
  • Do not marvel at this for the hour is coming in
which all who are in the graves will hear His
voice and come forththose who have done good,
to the resurrection of life, and those who have
done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation
    (Jn. 528, 29, NKJV)
  • not hours, days, years, times THE HOUR!
  • not some, many, most ALL!
  • does an hour last for 1007 years?

7
hope resurrection
1
DAY HOUR
  • But when Paul perceived that one part were
Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out
in the council, Men and brethren, I am a
Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee concerning the
hope and resurrection of the dead I am being
    judged! (Acts 236, NKJV)
  • as many hopes as there are resurrections (cf.
    Eph. 44)
  • not resurrections but resurrection (cf. seeds
    vs. seed Gal. 316)

8
a resurrection
1
DAY HOUR
  • I have hope in God, which they themselves also
accept, that there will be a resurrection of the
dead, both of the just and the unjust (Acts
    2415, NKJV)
  • Pauls hope was of a resurrection of the dead
  • two kinds of people raised in one single
    resurrectionthe just and unjust
  • NOT, one kind raised in two separate resurrections

9
the last day
1
DAY HOUR
  • This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that
of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but
should raise it up at the last day (Jn. 639,
    NKJV)
  • When shall it be raised?
  • ANSWER the last day
  • A.G. dont believe the righteous are raised on
the last day. . .they teach there will be 7 years
of tribulation that follow plus a 1000 year
    reign!
  • 7 years 1000 years 1007 years (367, 555 days!)

10
the last day
1
DAY HOUR
  • Martha said to Him, I know that he will rise
again in the resurrection at the last day. (Jn.
    1124, NKJV)
  • When shall he rise?
  • ANSWER the last day
  • Raised in what
  • ANSWER the resurrection
  • Martha knew more about eschatology than all
    premillennialists do today!
  • where do we read of resurrections?

11
Attempted Rebuttal. . .
  • But the rest of the dead did not live again
until the thousand years were finished. This is
the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he
who has part in the first resurrection. Over such
the second death has no power, but they shall be
priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign
with Him a thousand years (Rev. 205, 6)

12
Revelation 205, 6
  • doesnt teach any doctrine that contradicts any
of the other passages we brought forth
  • was a symbolic, not bodily resurrection
  • the dead lived again symbolically in the Satanic
    insurrection after the 1000 years
  • the righteous had resurrected first in a symbolic
way by their triumph over Roman rule/paganism

13
Revelation 205, 6
  • DANGER, DANGER, DANGER!
  • when you take much of Revelation literal, you
violate the intent of the book (11)
  • when you take much of Revelation literal, you
create doctrines that violate the doctrine of
    other clear passages
  • e.g., resurrection verses resurrections
  • e.g., the redeemed must all be men opposed to
    marriage (Rev. 143, 4 violates Heb. 134 1
    Cor. 71-5 1 Tim. 32)

Are You Redeemed?
  • not with corruptible things
  • knowing that you were not redeemed with
corruptible things, like silver or gold, from
your aimless conduct received by tradition from
your fathers (1 Pet. 118, NKJV)
  • but with the blood of the Lamb
  • but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a
lamb without blemish and without spot (1 Pet.
    119, NKJV)

16
Are You Redeemed?
  • by obeying the truth
  • Since you have purified your souls in obeying
the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of
the brethren, love one another fervently with a
pure heart (1 Pet. 122, NKJV)
  • in baptism
  • having been born again, not of corruptible seed
but incorruptible, through the word of God which
lives and abides forever (1 Pet. 123, NKJV)
  • There is also an antitype which now saves
usbaptism (not the removal of the filth of the
flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward
God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ
    (1 Pet. 321, NKJV)
