THANEDAR RAISES ALARM OVER SPIKE IN ATTACKS ON
HINDUISM
WASHINGTON, DC (IANS) Congressman Shri
Thanedar has raised alarm over a substantial
increase in attacks on Hinduism and Hindu places
of worship in the US and expressed frustration at
the failure of law enforcement agencies to find
and book those responsible. He urged the
administration to accord higher priority to
these hate crimes.

DIPLOMAT DEVYANI KHOBRAGADE DRESSES UP AS A KHMER
APSARA
NEW DELHI Devyani Khobragade, the Indian
Foreign Service officer who was at the center of
a diplomatic row between New Delhi and Washington
D.C. little over a decade ago, is now in the
middle of another storm. Despite the bad taste
she left the Indian American community with and
causing an upset with America, she managed to
land back on her feet and is now the Indian
ambassador to Cambodia. She wished the people of
the country in a special way through a
photoshoot dressed as a Khmer Apsara and posted
on the embassys official handles.

NIKKI HALEY LANDS NEW JOB AT CONSERVATIVE
THINKTANK
WASHINGTON, DC Nikki Haley, who was beaten back
by Donald Trump for the Republican presidential
nomination has landed a new job at the Hudson
Institute. Its a Washington DC based,
ultra-conservative think tank specializing in
foreign policy affairs. She will become the
institutes Walter P Stern chairperson, a post
named for Hudsons former chairperson who died in
2022, The Guardian reported. Haley is the fourth
member of the Trump administration to join the
Institute.

JAISHANKAR TELLS INDIAN MEDIA STUDENT DEATHS IN
US NOT CONNECTED
BENGALURU, (IANS) Expressing his concern over
incidents of killings of Indian students in the
US, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on
April 15 stated that though the incidents are
unconnected, he does share the worry of the kin.

SHOT DEAD
NLAHORE, (IANS) In whats being considered as
an incident of targeted killing, unidentified
gunmen on April 13 killed Amir Tanba, a key
figure behind the killing of Indian prisoner
Sarabjit Singh in Lahores Kot Lakhpat Jail in
2013.
