Title: Mantle Cell Lymphoma

1
Mantle Cell Lymphoma
2
Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a relatively
uncommon type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL)
characterized by the abnormal growth of
lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell. MCL is
considered a subtype of B-cell lymphoma and
typically arises from the outer edge (mantle
zone) of a lymph node. Here's an overview of
mantle cell lymphoma, including its features,
diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis
3
Symptoms Of Mantle Cell Lymphoma
  • Fatigue
  • Weight Loss
  • Anemia
  • Night Sweats
  • Fever
  • Bone Pain

4
Fatigue
Persistent fatigue and a general sense of
weakness can be indicative of Mantle Cell
Lymphoma. The cancerous cells can interfere with
the normal functioning of the immune system,
leading to increased fatigue.
5
Weight Loss
Significant, unexplained weight loss can occur in
individuals with Mantle Cell Lymphoma. This may
be associated with the body's response to the
cancerous cells and the disruption of normal
metabolic processes.
6
Anemia
The abnormal growth of cancerous cells can affect
the production of healthy blood cells, leading to
anemia. Symptoms of anemia include weakness,
fatigue, and pallor.
7
Night Sweats
Profuse sweating during the night, unrelated to
ambient temperature or external factors, can be a
symptom of Mantle Cell Lymphoma.
8
Fever
A persistent fever without an apparent cause may
be a sign of the body's response to the presence
of cancerous cells.
9
Bone Pain
Mantle Cell Lymphoma may involve the bone marrow,
leading to bone pain and discomfort.
