• A pulse jet bag filter also known as a baghouse
  dust collector, pulse jet dust collector is a
  filtration and cleaning equipment. The pulse jet
  cleaning system dislodges and removes the
  particulate matter and dust from the surface of
  the filter fabric(bag) with the pulse of
  high-pressure compressed air. Pulse jet bag

  the name refers to the cleaning mechanism used to

It is basically fitted in a dust extraction
system, now let's see how it works-

1. The dust or particulate matter generated during
   the manufacturing process in an industry enters
   the dust extraction system and further, enters
   the bag filter (bags and their fabric are
   designed as per the dust)
2. This dirt or dust enters the bag filter which has
   a series of filter bags, the dust accumulates on
   the outer surface of the filter bags as the air
   passes and, the remainder filtered air passes to
   the environment. We can also say dust collector
   as it is collecting the dust from the air stream.
3. Forming the layer of dust on the exterior part of
   the filter bags. This layer is also known as a
   dust cake.

• Now to maintain the regular efficiency of the bag
  house or bag filter, the dust collected on the
  bags must be removed for further dust collection
  process. There should be maintenance and cleaning
  of the bags. It is achieved by the mechanism of
  pulse jet cleaning the pulse jet bag filter
  consists of the following steps

• The bag filter is equipped with jet valves that
  consist of and throw compressed air. Having a
  pressure control sensor and timer these are
  directly controlled by bag house pressure. When
  the pressure reaches to certain limit the
  cleaning system starts.

• During cleaning the burst of compressed air is
  released through the pulse jet into the single
  bag filters, this air causes vibration and small
  jerk to the bags. This action of vibration will
  affect in falling of dust from the exterior
  surface of filter bags in the dust hopper.
• By the end of the process, the dust that is
  collected in the hopper is properly removed by
  rotary airlock valve.
