  • Introduction
  • The project is designed to develop automatic
mechanism off for a transmission line project
automatically resets the result after a short
break, in a temporary fault events as it remains
capable of switching off in the event of
    permanent failure.
  • Three phase transformers are wired in star input
and star output having input 220 volt and output
    at 12 volt.

4
Transmission line fault
  • Fault types include
  • Single to ground (LG)
  • LINE TO LINE (LL)
  • FIRE FAULT (FF)

5
Comparator
  • Op amps comparators look very similar
  • But a comparator gives a logic output indicating
the relative potentials on its two inputs
  • An op amp amplifies the differential voltage
between its two inputs and is designed always
to be used in closed-loop applications

6
Relay
  • It is a electro magnetic switch
  • Used to control the electrical devices
  • Copper core magnetic flux plays main role here

7
A double channel relay module is an electronic
device that provides a way to control two
separate circuits using a single module. The
relay module consists of two relays that can be
activated independently to switch the state of
their respective circuits.
8
A thermistor temperature sensor module is an
electronic device that measures temperature by
using a thermistor, which is a type of resistor
that changes its resistance based on the
temperature of the surrounding environment.
9
Copper wire is a type of electrical wire that is
made from copper, a highly conductive metal.
Copper wire is used in a wide variety of
electrical applications due to its excellent
conductivity, high ductility, and resistance to
corrosion
10
A jumper wire female to female is an electrical
wire that has a female connector on both ends,
allowing it to connect two components or devices
with male pins or headers. The female connectors
typically consist of metal pins surrounded by
plastic housing that provides insulation and
helps to secure the connection.

WORKING OF TRANSMISSION LINE FAULT DETECTION
The working of a transmission line involves
transmitting electrical power or signals from a
source to a load, while minimizing power losses
and maintaining the signal quality. The quality
of the transmission line is determined by its
characteristic impedance, which is a measure of
the resistance, inductance, and capacitance of
the line.
  • There are various methods for detecting faults
    in a transmission line, including
  • Relay protection This method involves using
protective relays that detect changes in current,
voltage, or impedance in the transmission line.
When a fault occurs, the protective relay sends a
signal to a circuit breaker to isolate the faulty
    section of the line.
  • Distance protection This method involves
measuring the distance to the fault based on the
time it takes for the fault current to travel
from the source to the fault location. The
distance is calculated using a device called a
    fault locator.

12
Advantages
  • Safety Equipment
  • Work Complete Time to Time
  • More Efficiency
  • Reduce Losses
  • More Reliable

13
  • Applications
  • Substation
  • Transformer
  • Drives Relay
  • Transmission Line

14
Conclusion
Transmission Line Fault Analysis With Auto Reset
On Temporary Fault And Permanent Trip Otherwise
is very useful to Engineering students.
