Deep meaning associated with Maang Tikka
  • It is said that according to Vedas, the forehead
    of humans is the place of Ajna Chakra, the place
    where wisdom resides, it is also called the third
    eye.
  • Maang tikka is placed exactly in the middle
    position of the womans forehead.
  • The literal meaning of maang is the middle part
    of the forehead and tikka means the ornament
    that is worn by the women between their
    foreheads.
  • There is the significance of wearing the maang
    tikka that it represents the ability of women to
    control their emotions and helps to increase the
    power of concentration.

  • Maang tikka come into existence long ago in the
    ancient time when the king victorious during war
    smeared the forehead including the middle part of
    the head of his queen with the blood of the enemy
