How to prevent Sports Injuries?
INTRODUCTION- Sports injuries are one of the
most common injuries that happens in sports and
sports person, the term sports man include both
the female and male who take part in any kind of
games, athletics or adventures that required
physical activity as a hobby or as a career.
During this journey there are several sportsman
that get affected with certain type of injuries
while taking part in the sports. It is quite
obvious that any injury can occur with any kind
of sport but it is very important to be aware of
which injury are common in the specific sport.
For example during football injuries to the
ligaments and cartilage of the knee and ankle
joint are very common. In cricket or in javelin
throwers strain to the spine or in the shoulder
is a common injury. Or while playing Kabaddi or
basketball type of suspectable knee twist and
impact on the knee cartilage is a common injury.
Exerciseing regularly has a huge impact on the
body and is good for maintaining proper physique
as well and with proper precautions sports injury
can often be prevented, there are certain types
of prevention that are used in different Sports
either as protective equipments or as certain
techniques, the quality of protective equipment
that is the helmets paddings shoes guards and
supporters helps a lot to provide an improve the
safety in the sports,

Certain causes of sports injuries may include-
  • Poor training practice
  • Not wearing proper sporting gears
  • Poor diet
  • Poor health conditions
  • Unimpactful and improper form of exercises
  • Incorrect warm up or stretching practices during
    or after the workout and the event.

Prevention of sport's injuries To help avoiding
the injuries while practicing or during the field
there are certain techniques that can help in
preventing sports injuries these include-

1. Proper warm up before activity- Stretching
and proper warm up is an important prevention
technique that can help the athlete to avoid
injuries and to enhance the performance on the
field as well, it is suggested to have a mix of
both static and dynamic stretching exercise
during the warm up to enhance the proper blood
flow to the muscle and to loosen them up and
their proper preparation before the physical
activity. Jumping jacks,  toe touching, brisk
jogging, arm swings, core movement are some of
the most common warm up exercises that must be
performed before the workout or activity to
prevent sport Injuries.

2. Using proper form/technique- using proper
form and technique play an essential role to
protect an athlete from any kind of injuries,
gaining early knowledge about the sport or
activity and help a lot as well for preventing
injuries during the sport,  It helps to-
  • Provide proper balance to the body between the
    arms legs core and back. 
  • Enhance betterment of the sport and activity
  • Using proper foot work can help to avoid injuries
    associated with the knee and ankle joint as well
    as the tendons.
  • Proper knowledge about the equipment used in the
    sports for better play helps to prevent injuries.

3. Take enought time to rest- resting is one of
the most important factor to enhance recovery and
prevention of this injuries, playing an sport for
two long without any rest or recovery can cause
muscle over use which can increase the chances of
injuries and severe problems as well. 
4. Stay hydrated and Avoid heat illness- always
try to consume plenty of water or fluids before
during an after any kind of activities and
exercises, as being dehydrated for the longer
period of time can increase the risk of muscle
cramps and sprain over the muscles, which can
ultimately lead to poor performance in the sport
and severe injuries.

5. Strengthen the core- strengthening the core
muscles an improving the core can help to provide
proper balance and stability to the body while
physical activity or any sports, strengthening
the core can help in crucial sports and can help
to avoid sports injuries as well. Strengthening

and all those exercises that includes compound
moments of the body.
