in improving your breathing.
5 Pranayamas You Should Practice Daily
Pranayama consists of a set of breathing
techniques that can not only maintain our
physical and mental health but alter our breath
to produce certain beneficial results. The
following are them
2
Anulom-Vilom Pranayama Anulom Vilom or alternate
nostril breathing is one of the most common
breathing techniques practiced all over the
world, to control the life energies within us,
and Anulom Vilom, alternate nostril breathing
the use of Ida and Pingala" This is done to
balance the two Nadis in the system called. Ida
is dominated by heat energy in the system, while
Pingala serves to balance the much lower
temperature conditions. It involves closing one
nostril while inhaling and then closing the
other nostril while exhaling. Bhramari
Pranayama Bhramari Pranayama is inspired by an
Indian black bee named. Bhramari means bee. When
a person practices this yoga and in the process
of this yoga, whenever he exhales (the
exhalation sound) resembles the humming sound of
a bee. Because of this sound, it has got the
name Bhramari Pranayama Yoga. It is one of the
best breathing exercises to reduce your anxiety
levels as well as calm your senses. In this
technique, take a deep breath through the nose.
Insert the thumbs of both hands inside the ears.
And keep the first two fingers (index finger) of
the hands on the forehead and the other fingers
on the closed eyes. Keeping the mouth closed,
inhale while coming out, chant Om which will
produce the sound Hmmmmm.. Ujjayi
Pranayama The word Jay originated from Ujjayi,
which means victorious. The Pranayama which gives
us freedom from bondage is called Ujjayi
Pranayama. It is one of the eight Kumbhakas of
Hatha Yoga. While doing Ujjayi Pranayama, there
is a sound similar to the sound of the ocean,
hence it is also called Ocean Breath. When this
pranayama is performed, hot air enters the body
and contaminated air comes out.
3
Kapalbhati Pranayama When it comes to Kapalbhati
Pranayama, it is called the Sanjeevani of life.
After practicing this, you hardly need to do any
other asana. Kapalbhati is made up of two words,
'Kapal' and 'Bhati'. 'Kapal' means 'brain' and
'bhati' means to produce a 'sharp'. That is,
Kapalbhati means filling the brain with
sharpness. To do Kapalbhati Pranayama, first of
all, sit in Siddhasan Padmasan or Vajrasan and
then do the act of exhaling. After this, while
exhaling or throwing the breath, the stomach has
to be pushed inwards. Shitali
Pranayama Sheetali means 'cooler'. Practicing
Sheetali Pranayama lowers body temperature. As
Sheetkari Pranayama cools the body, similarly
this Sitali pranayama also cools the body
temperature. Although the method of doing both
Pranayama is different, many of the benefits are
the same. Sheetali pranayama should be done
after such asanas and pranayama, which increase
heat in the body. After doing these asanas and
pranayama, one should do Sheetali pranayama
which will help in balancing the body
temperature. This pranayama is like a shady tree
that produces plenty of oxygen. Apart from this,
it provides peace of mind and physical coolness.
This is the best pranayama to be done in the
summer season. After doing Sheetli Pranayama, you
should do Shavasana. To do this Pranayama, take
out your tongue as far as possible without
tension, according to your capacity. Now fold
the sides of the tongue and make it like a pipe
shape. Breathe in through this tube and fill the
stomach. After filling the breath in the stomach,
take the tongue inside the mouth and close the
mouth. Now exhale slowly through the
nose. Source Link https//shortkro.com/5-pranay
