Barkot- Yamunotri-Barkot
Char Dham Yatra is a religious journey and you
have to go on a trek to visit the temples. So be
prepared and be energetic. Drive to Janki Chatti
and then start trekking to Yamunotri (7 km trek).
You can also opt for pony ride or doli instead of
trekking. People take bath in Jamnabai Kund and
cook some raw rice in hot water in Surya Kund to
get it as Prasad of Yamunotri. Watch the
mesmerizing view of the divine rock and the aarti
of the main deity Yamunaji. Afterwards, drive
back to Barkot and stay overnight.

Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi
Wake up early and get ready for the drive to
Gangotri post breakfast. Gangotri is located at
an altitude of 3048 meters and is surrounded by
snow-capped picturesque, majestic views of the
Himalayas and Deodar trees. Take a holy dip in
Bhagirathi (the origin of the goddess Ganga) and
Offer a prayer at Gangotri temple. After
veneration explore the place and then drive back
to the hotel room in Uttarkashi. Overnight stay
at hotel.
