Derek Schuelein is a very talented, motivated and
result-driven individual and teacher who has to
experience teaching as a high school teacher and
later got promoted to the position of principal.
However, even in the role of a principal, he
continues his exceptional work.

Even while Derek Schuelein was working as a high
school teacher, he fulfilled many of his
responsibilities at Rye High School, his current
job.

Derek Schuelein developed and implemented
successful school-wide remote and hybrid learning
models, trained teachers in the use of
instructional technology, oversaw high school
budget preparation and implemented a zero-based
budgeting method.

Derek Schuelein is also a member of the
Association for Supervision and Curriculum
Development (ASCD), the National Association of
Secondary School Principals (NASSP), the National
Association for College Admissions Counseling
(NACAC), and the New York State School Counselor
Association (NYSSCA).
