Hop up displays and hop up banners are some of
the most frequently-used portable displays. A hop
up banner is usually a narrow flat display wall.
A hop up display is a printed tension fabric
covering an expandable pop up-style frame. This
is the most popular display in the industry and
is a cost-effective method of having a full
graphic backwall at a trade show event. It sets
up without tools and pops up literally in
seconds. The fabric graphic is conveniently
attached to the frame. Now, lets take a look

1. Straight Wall A hop up display configured as
straight is the most popular version. It is a
straightforward flat wall, and although the shape
is a personal choice, most buyers seem to
like its appearance. As a flat wall, it clears
the way for more floor space at your trade show
booth. Just unpack from the lightweight canvas
case and simply expand the frame as shown in
the link above.

2. Curved Wall With the curved wall, the pop
frame is configured, so the frame pops up in a
concave curved appearance. This curved
look matches other pop style frames in the
industry which may be preferred by certain
exhibitors.  To be fair, the fabric sometimes
does not conform to the frame as perfectly as
with the straight style. This may result in some
minor folds near the flat printed ends. Because
of that, some consultants will recommend the
straight style. Lets be honest with
our customers that is why we are
considered expert consultants.

3. Extra Height Where you require a bit of
additional height, extra height models
are also available. To be clear, 8 feet is the
maximum height at most trade shows. So, in
consideration of the extra 10 ft. height hop up
display, it would come in handy
at private events that do not have a height
limitation. It is important to note that most
portable trade show podiums are not secured with
locks, so it is important to understand it should
only be used during show hours.

4. Backlit Wall Lighting is always an
attraction. So, in the case of a hop up
display, the frame has been equipped with LED
lighting to enhance your graphic
panel. This results in a higher selling
price thanks to the extra materials, but the
lighting may justify your extra cost. In addition
to this fabric being extremely lightweight and
easy to handle, this is a great opportunity to
get your logo and branding in front of a trade
show crowd.

5. Lightweight Hop Up Display Hop up displays
are lightweight to begin with, but the Hop
Up Lite is even lighter thanks to its lighter
frame. This lighter display only comes in a 10
configuration.

6. Hop Up Banner The hop up display includes
narrow backwalls known as a hop up banner. The
expandable modular frame can be configured to
produce smaller frames to reflect the single quad
width. This produces a 2.5-wide hop up
banner, and double quad width produces the
5-wide hop up banner.

7. Printed Ends/No Printed Ends The hop up
banner flat ends that cover the hardware are
optional. This means the backwall can be ordered
as a fully-fitted printed option or a front-fit
only, eliminating any end cover for the
hardware. This is a personal choice, but is
a much better value when ordering
the fully-fitted printed option. In summary, the
hop up banner is a well-proven and reliable
portable display solution that has been a
successful product on the market for over 20
