Things to know about IB schools in India

  • Today, parents can select from a wide variety of
educational boards to enroll their children in
    school. The International Baccalaureate (IB)
curriculum is now highly regarded and accepted by
all universities in addition to the GCSE or IGCSE
Certificate on both Cambridge and Edexcel. The
term "International Baccalaureate" is referred to
    as "IB."
  • Three distinct educational programmes make up
    this widely recognized school system
  • The Primary Years Programme (PYP) (Kindergarten
    to Class 5).
  • The Middle Years Programme is known as (Class 6
    to Class 10).
  • The Diploma Programme (Class 11 to Class 12).

  • The International Baccalaureate Organization
(IBO), a non-profit educational organization with
    headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, established
the IB programme in 1968. The IBO is an
    international organization that is unaffiliated
with any government and free of national
political educational goals, despite having its
    headquarters in Switzerland.
  • The best IB schools in India programme is more
application-based and practical. It covers a
wider range of topics that promote all-around
    development.
  • IB exams don't assess students' speed or memory
they test their knowledge. Exams are not given
until the Middle Years Program (Class 10). The IB
pedagogy places more emphasis on "how to learn"
    than "what to learn."
  • Comparatively difficult to educational boards
like CBSE and ICSE is the IB curriculum. However,
the difficulty is in the quality of the tasks
    rather than their quantity.

  • How do IB World Schools operate?
  • IB World Schools are institutions approved by the
    International Baccalaureate Organization and
offer the IB curriculum. In India, there are just
18 IB World Schools spread across 11 cities. In
the previous five months alone, five of these
institutions have started to offer IB.
  • Is the IB recognized internationally and in
    India?
  • Because of IB's strict requirements and high
standards, colleges and institutions all over the
world accept the IB Diploma as a credible entry
certificate to universities and a superior
academic programme. In May 2004, more than 50,000
students registered for the IB Diploma Program.
  • IB is evaluated with Class 12 CBSE, ICSE, NIOS,
or State Boards by the Association of Indian
    Universities (AIU). However, occasionally,
reports surface of IB students having trouble
getting into particular Indian colleges and
    universities.

  • Why should I choose IB for my kid?
  • Top IB schools in India cultivates abilities in
critical analysis, evaluation, and thought. This
crucial ability serves them well not only in
school and college but also in life. Writing
research papers in a variety of areas as part of
the coursework, or IAs, requires students to
choose their own themes and carry out the
    activity autonomously.
