1
Know How Are GRE Scores Calculated - Wisdom
Mart
The GRE scoring system for quantitative and
verbal reasoning is similar as the number of
questions per section continues as before.
Basically, the final score focus in on to a
two-step process - 1 The Raw Score In the first
step, we calculate the raw score by crediting
each right answer for one point that a test-taker
got to right answer the GRE, paying little heed
to either the first or second segment. For each
part, one point for Quant and one more point for
Verbal is computed on a scale of 0 to 40 in light
of the fact that the student will answer two sets
of twenty questions for both. 2 Last or Scaled
Score The one-point raw score is given to every
one of the inquiries which the test taker
accurately replied. In addition, we should also
consider the trouble level when we survey these
scores. Hence, the resultant score is gotten by
scaling the current raw score concerning the
degree of trouble. In particular, since there is
a general variety in the trouble level between
the first and second area questions, the trouble
level in light of segments additionally amounts
to the final score. Your GRE score percentile
gives us a thought regarding how our scores are
compared with the wide range of various GRE
test-takers. For
2
example, if you get a higher Percentile, your
score will be compared with the other
test-takers. In case you get a 99th GRE
percentile score, you scored better compared to
the vast majority of the remainder of the GRE
Training takers, while you are in the top 1.
