Lemosho Route 8 Days - Climbing Kilimanjaro Due
to low traffic, Lemosho route is mainly said to
be one of the most preferred routes in
Mt.Kilimanjaro. At the same time, you will get a
chance to witness various views that strikes
large to some extent for sure. If you are looking
for this great experience, then visit us and

activities mentioned here would be helpful. Day
1 Arrive in Tanzania You will be picked to hotel
in Moshi from Kilimanjaro International Airport
and get to meet your guide who will explain you
everything about your trek. Also, make sure to
check whether you will have the required mountain
gear.

Day 2 Lemosho Glades After breakfast, you will
pick from hotel and move to Lemosho gate
2100m/6889ft which is located at the Kilimanjaro
western side. Once the registration process is
completed, we will start our climbing towards the
Lemosho glades in order to reach Big Tree camp
2650/8,694ft for spending your night over there,
distance 6km/4miles, 2-3hrs walking, Habitat-
Rain Forest Zone.

Day 3 Big Tree Camp to Shira One Camp Today,
its our turn to trek across plateau of heather
scattered along with volcanic rock formations.
Also, the target for today is going to be the
Shira one Camp 3550m/11,646ft where you can get
to view Kibo peak. However, we will also be
getting a chance of experiencing altitude,
distance 8km/5miles, 6-7hrs walking, Habitat-
Heather and Moorland Zone. Day 4 Shira 1 Camp
to Shira 2 camp On day 4, you will have a chance
to witness Northern Icefields along with great
views of Kibo. Now, our climbing over the
moorland will be also helpful with adaptation and
get to experience the panoramic views. And, today
our destination is where you need to reach Shira
2 camp 3840m/ 12,598ft. Later, you will have your
dinner and overnight stay, Distance 8km/5miles,
4-5hrs walking, Habitat- Heather and Moorland
zone.

Day 5 Shira 2 camp to Barranco Camp Now, your
journey will be getting started with great
panoramic views where you can also experience the
chance by having a path towards the upland desert
as well as over the lava ridges. We will now
reach the Lava tower 4550m/ 14,927ft which is
said to be the great place where we are going to
have lunch now. Later, in the noon, we will move
down to camp for night stay which is located in
the base of Great Barranco Valley 3900m/
12,795ft, distance 11km/6mile, 5-7hrs walking,
Habitat- Alpine desert zone.
