  • With very little upkeep, your LabelWriter printer
    should provide years of trouble-free printing.

Status Light
  • The status light visibly displays the printers
    condition right now
  • - Solid Blue The printer is ready and the power
    is on.- Dimmed Blue Power-saving mode for the
    printer.- Flashing Blue Incorrect label loading
    or an empty label roll.

Performing a Printer Self-Test
  • Perform a printer self-test if you encounter
    issues with broken characters or other print
    quality concerns. The self-test demonstrates that
    every component of the print head and printing
    process is functional.
  • To perform a self-test
  • 1. Press and hold the form-feed button on the
    front of the printer for five to ten seconds with
    a roll of labels inside. Along its width, the
    printer starts printing vertical lines. Every 3/4
    inches, the test pattern automatically modifies
    (19 mm).2. Release the form-feed button once the
    self-test has started.3. Press and hold the
    form-feed button to halt the self-test.

Clearing Label Jams
  • In order to unclog labels that have gotten stuck
    in the printer1. Remove any labels that have
    already been printed by tearing them off.2. Pull
    the stuck label from the label feed slot by
    pushing the label release lever forward.

Correcting Poor Print Quality
  • One of the following factors most usually
    contributes to poor print qualityAn outdated
    roll of labels
  • - Labels produced by a company other than DYMO-
    Labels with a damaged thermal coating A filthy
    print head
