6 strategies for preparing your child for preschool

Description:

A young woman with a 2.5-year-old contacted me lately for something "essential." She appeared hurried and worried, so I sat her down after class, handed her a drink of water, and inquired about the situation. Her 2.5-year-old is ready for preschool, and mom was hyperventilating since her child is a clinging kid. 'He has never been apart from me for even a second, how will he settle down at school?' 'He even sobs when I walk to the washroom,' I was swamped with inquiries. 'How do I tell him I'm not going to school with him?', 'He isn't even potty trained.' What if he gets the most important position in school?' – PowerPoint PPT presentation

2
Discuss the change with your child
  • Talk to your youngster about school in a positive
tone. Tell them what is going to happen in
school, and they will meet new people and
establish new friends. Also, gently prepare them
for the reality that they will be separated from
    their parents.

3
Change your sleeping habits
  • If your youngster has been going to bed and
waking up late, now is the time to set things
right. Most children require a lot of sleep a
    2-3-year-old requires 11-14 hours of sleep. 11
hours of unbroken sleep at night and a 2-3 hour
nap during the day are ideal.

4
Maintain a consistent bedtime and waking routine
  • A kid finds consistency extremely reassuring.
Children are creatures of habit, and they thrive
when routines are created. They also teach
students about sequencing, time, and discipline.
Create a routine that gradually soothes the
youngster and prepares him for sleep.

5
Make time to read
  • Make reading books a part of your bedtime ritual.
It is critical to start reading to your child
while they are young in order to instill a love
of literature in them. Admission Nursery School
Reading also increases a child's vocabulary and
gives them with the rich language required for
    academic achievement and confidence.

6
Reflection before going to bed
  • It is critical to discuss the events of the day
with your youngster. This is best done when you
have some time alone with your youngster. Discuss
what worked well and what could have been done
better. This does not have to be limited to the
    events of the child's day.

7
Assist your youngster in becoming
self-sufficient
  • Begin with simple tasks such as emptying the
plate from the table, following a tidy-up routine
after play, and pulling books from the bookcase
to read. Begin with simple tasks such as folding
a handkerchief, stacking blocks, buttoning a
blouse, donning socks, and wearing shoes
