Who Was The Ultimate Warrior?
  • Ultimate Warrior was successful as a bodybuilder
for a while before he switched to wrestling. When
he joined WWE in 1987, he became a star right
away. His quick rise to the top was capped by his
victory over Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania VI in
April 1990. Warriors career came to an end after
he was suspended multiple times, but he later
made up with WWE and was inducted into its Hall
of Fame just before he died in 2014.

Early Life
  • James Brian Hellwig was brought into the world on
June 16, 1959, and he grew up in Crawfordsville,
Indiana. After his father left the family,
Warrior, the oldest of five kids, had trouble
with money and feelings. He turned to football
and weightlifting at Fountain Central High School
    to fill the void.

Early Years As A Pro Wrestler
  • At the end of 1985, Warrior and Borden both went
    pro with Memphis, Tennessees Championship
Wrestling. At first, the two young men were
called the Freedom Fighters, but they soon took
on the image of bad guys and beat out other bands
    as the Blade Runners.

5
World Class Championship Wrestling
  • Warrior eventually went solo and joined World
Class Championship Wrestling in Texas, where he
became known as the Dingo Warrior and built up a
    large fan base.

6
Champion And WWE Superstar
  • When Warrior got his chance on the big stage of
World Wrestling Entertainment in 1987, he changed
    into the tasselled, face-painted Ultimate
Warrior. He quickly became a fan favourite with
    his cartoonishly chiselled body, high-energy
    performances, and intense, cryptic interviews.

Warrior took the stage with his daughters and
talked about his fights with McMahon and his
peers and the long way back into the WWE family.
The next night, he went to WrestleMania XXX, and
then on April 7, he went to Monday Night Raw,
where the former champion gave another emotional
    speech.
