Introduction
Glass industry, like other things, has seen its
share of rejection and fear of experimentation.
For a very long period of time, glass has been
used in the most conventional ways and people
have refrained from using glass in non
conventional or in experimental ways. As per
various research studies, the main reason for
this was that a whole lot feared that any
experiment with glass would not go very well,
down the line. They were afraid that it would not
complement the decor or might not be a safe
option to consider. This is also because the
moment we hear the word glass, an image comes up
in my mind of a delicate object, which needs to
be handled with care. With the onset of the glass
industry, the glass was primarily used in the
commercial sector to provide a high ending
aesthetic appeal to places like organisations and
restaurants. But, later on with the passage of
time things changed and glass was used almost
everywhere from corporate buildings to
independent villas.

Damage Resistant
One of the age old problems with glass is, it
stains too quickly and that is when the damage
starts to begin. But, with toughened glass you do
not have to worry about stains for they are stain
and scratch free. They do not require any kind of
high maintenance as you can just wipe them clean
using a microfiber cloth and they are good to go.
Also, another best feature is toughened glass is
wear and tear resistant. Therefore, it becomes an
excellent choice for regular use. Toughened glass
is also great, when it comes to standing up to
various forces of nature.
Heat Resistant
The damage on the usual glass is also contributed
by heat, if the glass comes in direct contact
with the heat. Infact, just a slight variation in
the temperature can cause normal glass to develop
cracks. But, thats not the case with toughened
glass. Toughened glass can withstand high
temperatures as there is a balance of compression
and tension present between the layers of the
toughened glass. This is why these glasses have
such high durability and still look so good all
around the year.

As mentioned above, glass these days is much more
than pieces of decor. It can be used to protect
your habitat from any kinds of break ins,
mishaps, storms etc.
Aesthetic Appeal
Forget about the days when glasses used to be
simple and monotonous. Now, they come in a huge
variety of colors, designs, texture and sizes and
you have a wide variety to choose from. Also, for
people who value privacy in tenor space there are
different types of toughened glass called
soundproof or frosted toughened glasses.
