1
Guide to Becoming a Georgian Realtor - Eduard de
Guardiola
2
  • You may know Georgia as the Peach State, but it
is so much more than that as the birthplace of
the Civil Rights movement and home to Stone
Mountain Park, Georgia has dozens of attractions
and landmarks that make people want to call it
home. If youre thinking of selling realty in
Georgia, look no further we teamed up with
the founder and owner of Vista Realty Partners,
Eduard de Guardiola, to give you the lowdown on
how to become a realtor in Georgia.

3
Check your Credentials
  • First things first, you will need to ensure you
pass some basic criteria before you move onto any
course work. The law requires that you be over 18
years of age, and that you get a background check
(GCIC report) before signing up for your courses.

4
Georgia Real Estate Commission
  • Next, Eduard de Guardiola suggests becoming
familiar with the Georgia Real Estate
Commission (GREC), which will require you to take
    a 75-hour Salesperson Pre-Licensing course. The
CE Shop offers the course on an advanced,
web-based platform designed exclusively for real
estate professionals. This course will give you
the very best of modern real estate expertise
mixed with the convenience and ease of online
learning. This course is hugely beneficial to
providing you with the knowledge and information
you need to pass your licensing exam, and is
simpler than other states (for example, in Texas,
the law requires you to complete 180 hours of
    courses).

5
  • In the Pre-Licensing course, you will expect to
cover a variety of topics including
  • Real estate business
  • Licensing laws
  • Residential mortgages
  • Property rights
  • Taxes affecting real estate
  • Closing transactions
  • Federal and state laws
  • Commission rules, and more.
  • The Georgia Real Estate License exam has a higher
passing rate 61 percent than other states,
but this is by no means a reason to take it
lightly. If you would like to take a test exam
before the real thing, Eduard de Guardiola
suggests taking the Real Estate Exam Scholars
Exam prep course, who offer a money back
guarantee if you dont pass on your first try!

6
Georgia Real Estate License Exam
  • Once you have studied hard and are ready to take
the test, there are some things you need to know.
You will need to score above 75 or more to pass
the Georgia Real Estate Exam, which will consist
of 100 multiple-choice questions for the national
portion, and 52 for the state portion the time
limit to complete all 152 questions is 4 hours.
The exam itself will cost you 115, and if
successful, you will need to apply for your
license within 12 months of the date you took the
    exam.

7
Post-License according to Eduard de Guardiola
  • If you are successful, in your first year of your
licensure as a salesperson, you must take a
25-hour salesperson post-license course if you
dont, your license will lapse. The only other
thing you need to know is to keep your head down,
study hard, and sell with confidence!
