Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS)
The Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS)
is a collection of software-controlled devices
that store and retrieve inventory automatically.

Clear Height
The area above a building's ceiling that is free
of HVAC pipes and equipment, lighting fixtures,
and other things.

Carrier
A system's one-of-a-kind storage unit. It's
occasionally used instead of a tray or a shelf
when neither is available.

Ergonomics

• In vertical storage systems, ergonomics refers
  to the process of getting all parts to the
  "golden zone" (the area between the shoulders and
  the waist) for picking.

Heavy Duty

• Medium- and heavy-duty operations require more

Tray

Vertical Lift Sequencer / VLS

• For activities involving a high number of goods
  or parts SKUs, a vertical lift sequencer (VLS)
  can deliver the speed, efficiency, and precision
  required. 
• VLS units act as a buffer between production and
  order fulfilment in distribution centres and
  warehouses. 
• The VLS employs buffer sequencers to
  automatically separate fast-moving SKUs from
  palletizing station packages, allowing for the
  most efficient split-case picking.

Warehouse Control System (WCS)

• A warehouse control system (WCS) receives
