What is Betnovate N Cream?
Betnovate N Cream (betamethasone valerate
neomycin) is a topical medication that provides
relief for inflammatory and pruritic
manifestations of steroid responses dermatoses.
These skin conditions are atopic dermatitis,
psoriasis, allergic contact dermatitis,
seborrhoeic dermatitis, neurodermatitis, prurigo
nodularis, discoid lupus erythematosus, insect
bite reactions, and generalized erythroderma
together with systemic steroid therapy. This is
available in Betnovate N Cream 0.1/0.5 in 25g
and 50g tubes.

Mechanism of Action
This topical corticosteroid works as an
anti-inflammatory agent that inhibits the late
phase of the hypersensitivity reaction. It
lowers the density of mast cells, decreases
chemotaxis and eosinophils activation, decreases
cytokine production, and inhibits arachidonic
acid metabolism.

How to Use Betnovate N Cream
Before applying Betnovate N Cream, you must read
the patient information leaflet that comes with
it. Do not use this product unless you thoroughly
understand its uses and instructions. Ask your

information. Apply a thin layer or small amount
of cream in the affected areas and gently rub.
