Diplomacy, Maia Brown-Jackson has extensive work
and research experience in extremism, governance,
human rights, and monitoring, evaluation, and
analysis.

Maia Brown-Jacksons work experience includes
working in different insecure locations and
responding rapidly to changing situations.
Regarding her extensive research experience, Maia
Brown-Jackson joined the Yazidi nonprofit Yazda
in 2016 and assisted in research, writing, and
editing for the website and UN grants.

Maia Brown-Jacksons work in Yzada involved
working at Mosul with the local staff to compile
the data required to meet the audit guidelines of
the UN financial assistance programs. It was one
of the programs Yazda was participating in at the
time.

Moreover, she also got her work published with
the British think tank Islamic Theology of
Counter-Terrorism. Maia Brown-Jackson wrote
several chapters for the book Marketing
Terrorism The Continental Fear from the Middle
East to Asia Africa, released in November 2020.
