Google Formally Puts An End To Few Previous
Search Console Features
What Is Google Search Console?
To begin with, the Search Console, previously
known as Google Webmaster tools, is a compilation
of resources and tools, put together by Google,
aiming to help techno-marketers, website owners,
site administrators, and web developers, to
monitor the performance of their website in the
Google Search Index. Apart from providing the
needed educational data, the Search Console also
helps in optimizing the website visibility and
keeps a check on the indexing status too. The New
Changes
With the past year seeing the Search Console
growing in its use, Google has probably vouched
to take advantage of this increasing usability
and make improvements to it. Google announced at
the end of January 2019 that it would be making a
couple of changes to its Search Console, which
should be out for the public by the end of March
2019. 1. Bye Bye To The Crawl Error Reports, API,
Sitemaps Data
The new Index Coverage report, Google assures
that it is working on improving the way the
errors are recognized flagged. Apart from the
crawl error reports API, the sitemaps data are
also going away from the old Search Console.
Although the functionality of the sitemaps will
still remain the same, Google is aiming at
bringing in more information, especially about
the images videos to the new sitemaps report.

2. Bid Adieu to Fetch As Google
Google now says to use the new URL inspection
tool instead of Fetch as Google to check review
your website URLs. The new URL inspection tool
provides an insight into the current indexing
status and keeps a live check on the URLs that
have been changed recently by you.
3. The User Management Is Gone Too
In addition to the aforementioned information
that Google plans to replace with the new
modifications, another revision has come to the
User Management Interface, which will now be
merged with the Settings section in the modified
Search Console. 4. Its The Structured Data
Dashboard Now!
Google is sending away the structured data
dashboard too and plans on bringing in other
dedicated reports to help get most of the data.
Contemplating to give Rich Results to your
website, the tech giant has added many reports to
the Search Console like the Events, Jobs, Q A,
etc.
5. Letting Go of Other Old Elements Google has
confessed that by working to focus more on
elements that are more important to the site
owners, it took a hard step of letting go of some
other features in the Search Console that include
-
HTML Suggestions Property Sets
Android Apps Blocked Resources Report
After having comprehensive testing in the beta
mode, Google has started releasing its new Search
Console reports to all its verified users.
Although these changes may not be very clear to
the common man, website owners may seek help from
any renowned digital marketing agency or from
techno-marketers to have a better idea of it.
